About

Mermaid Princess Elena gives up her tail to become human for the love of Derek, a poor fisherman. She helps him grow into a wealthy captain. On their wedding anniversary, she discovers Derek has been having an affair with Mavis. The deceived Mavis publicly humiliates Elena — leaving a scar across her face and destroying her family-heirloom necklace. Elena reclaims her powers. Bankrupting Derek through an auction and laying a trap that publicly shames Mavis, she takes her revenge. In a fit of rage, Derek kills Mavis. Elena uses their prenuptial agreement to leave him penniless, returns to the sea as its queen, and curses Derek to suffer for the rest of his days.
